So I am sharing with you my sometimes touristy journey through Italy and Europe. I obviously will be posting photos here and there of Facebook and Instagram but I thought I would try to share my daily experience with you all. Which will most likely be a weekly post. And bare with me I have never done any kind of blogging before. So here it is ...
I landed at Marco Polo airport yesterday morning where my "host mother" picked me up. I was feeling a little dazed and confused as we walked outside and I saw all the itty bitty cars in the parking lot (haha). We drove back to their home in Margerha, and the rest of the day in stayed in the house and relaxed, which was good me for! I have been exhausted since arriving and have some pretty bad jet lag. Which by the way is suppressing my appetite, I mean come on I come all the way to Italy and I'm not even hungry enough to finish a bowl of pasta?! Which is also pretty rude to do here! And they don't do left overs! (I'm the left over queen!) I got rested up last night and took on Venice this morning. My "host father" showed me the ropes in how to get around on the bus. The bus ride to the mainland is about 10 mins from their home. When I first stepped onto the island I was kind of shocked. So many emotions of I cannot believe I am even here and my excitement. Venice was beautiful I walked around for about 4-5 and saw very little of what ALL is there. I look forward to going back next week! I not only had my first gelato (of many to come) but I got to chat with some locals as well as other tourist. Because of my lack of appetite I did not eat lunch today on the island although soon enough some seafood is on my list because it looked amazing! Not all of my post will be this long..some might just be pictures....some might be longer! But so much going on I had to share.(Below are some photos from my phone of my day in Venice)
